Albert F. Palulis, 85, passed away on February 12, 2011, at Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket, RI, with his family in attendance. Albert was the loving husband of Evelyn Stevens Palulis, who resides in a nursing facility in Vestal, NY.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Albert was the son of John and Domicelia (Kaminskute) Palulis. He was a career truck driver and an avid saltwater fisherman, who spent many days fishing out of Sheepshead Bay, NY, looking for the big one that got away. He moved to Warren Center, PA when he retired, and lived there until 2008.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons: George Walsh and his wife Kathy, of East Meadow, NY; Albert Palulis, Jr and his wife Kathy, of West Bayshore, NY; Gregory Palulis and his wife Laura, of Cumberland, RI; and Robert Palulis and his wife Barbara, of Salem, NY. His legacy also includes 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Albert was known for his honesty, his sense of humor and his ability to read people. He was also well known for his many fishing tales.
A Commital service will be held on Wednesday, February 16th at 11 am in Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd. Providence, RI.
