Yole M. “Nonnie” Fairman, 94, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2013. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Fairman, Jr. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Olga (Bottai) Marini.
She worked as a lace inspector at the former Seekonk Lace Company for 40 years before retiring.
Nonnie loved her family and cherished her granddaughters and spent a lot of time with them and their families. She was also an avid sports fan, and loved the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and the Boston Celtics.
She leaves her two loving daughters, E. Jane Fairman, of Pawtucket, and Lois Vincenzo, of Cumberland; five granddaughters, Cheryl Stapleton (David), Cynthia Richard (Randy), Carin Martinez (Wil), Corri Vartanian (Greg), and Jessica Lavallee; thirteen great grandchildren, Shaun Stapleton. Joshua Stapleton, Cara Stapleton, Anthony Marshall, III, Randy Salqueiro, Zachary Salqueiro, Eric Martinez, Alex Martinez, Jason Vartanian, Adam Vartanian, Aaron Wilcox, Abby Wilcox, and Alyssa Wilcox. She was the sister of the late Caroline Aveno and Edelia Miller.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm*, in the Olson & Parent Funeral Home, 417 Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, c/o Pawtucket Police Department, 121 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02860 in her memory will be appreciated.
