Inez Mello of Cranston passed away on October 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital after a courageous battle with heart disease. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Paiva) and Antonio Aguiar.
Inez will be remembered as cheerful, funny and well loved. She enjoyed creating holiday costumes and loved to dance. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting.
Along with raising her family, Inez worked for many years for Colibri in Providence, RI.
She was blessed with six children; Lawrence Mello and his wife, Cynthia of Willows, CA, Catherine Mello Swanson of Mason City, Iowa, Hope Mello Haworth and her husband Rick of Naples, Florida, Faith Mello of Cranston, RI,
Sharon Mello of Scituate, RI and Patricia Mello-Gigliodoro
of Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Inez cherished her late sister Pat (Iria) McHugh and is survived by her sister Angela Moran and brother Antonio deAguiar and his wife Elaine. She is survived by her grandchildren; Christopher Swanson and his wife Ann-Marie,
Marina Nenna and her husband Kristopher, Dustin Mello, Adrian Ries, John Gigliodoro, Matthew Ries, Ashley O'Connor, Sharon Gigliodoro and Angela Mello. She will be missed by her great grandchildren; Kameron Orfield and Abby Swanson, and her baby sister on the way. She was loved her many nephews and nieces.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10am, Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 463 Benefit St., Providence, RI 02903.
Burial will be private.
