Leo Richard McMahon
August 29, 1931 - March 29, 2013
Leo Richard McMahon, 81, died peacefully at home on Friday, March 29, 2013, with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Donna McMahon (Sadler) for thirty seven years.
Born in Providence, Leo was the son of the late Alice (McCrea) and Joseph M. McMahon A resident of Providence for over sixty years and was a Manager at Parflex Rubber Company after serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He coached men’s baseball and was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
Leo was a revered pool player and competed in tournaments throughout New England and New Jersey.
Leo will be missed by his son Adam Silva of Pawtucket and daughter, Lisa Fontaine of Warwick and his loving caretaker, Samantha Kraines. He leaves his stepchildren; John, Michael, Loretta, Donna. Leo will be reunited with his late brothers; Joseph, Owen, and late sisters; Alice, Evelyn, and Shirley. He leaves nine grandchildren.
A committal service for Leo McMahon will take place at the
Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday,
April 2, 2013, at 11am.
