Edwin Robert Woodman
August 26, 1932 - February 5, 2019

Woodman, Edwin R., 86, passed away on February 5, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family and faithful dog, Abby. Born in Watertown, NY, he was the son of the late Ruth (Hodkinson) and Karl Woodman. Edwin was married to the late Hazel (Prince) Woodman for over 54 years.
 
Mr. Woodman served as an Airman in the US Navy during the Korean War. He continued his love of flying during his career traveling the globe as a computer technician. He worked for IBM and later Control Data installing computer systems in cities throughout China, Germany, and India. There was not a continent in the world he had not visited adding his computer expertise and knowledge while fulfilling his lifelong desire for travel.

Edwin lived in Bellingham, MA until 2000 when he moved his family to Chepachet, RI. He was blessed with a loving wife, Hazel, and six children; Karl Woodman of Chepachet, Kevin Woodman and his wife Rebecca of Wisconsin, Clifford Woodman of Chepachet, Debbie Tellier and her husband Rene of Maine, Karen Schmitz and her husband Kirk of Pennsylvania, and Kelley Woodman of Uxbridge, MA. Edwin is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his dog Abby who rarely left his side and gave him great comfort over the years.

A private service will take place at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery where Edwin will be laid to rest next to his late wife.
