Gerry Joseph Bonner

Mr. Gerry Bonner, age 39, passed away on October 9, 2019, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Gerry will be missed by his fiancee Heather Young and his godson Cammeryn Lawrence who he loved like his own. Loving son of Susan and William Hopkins of Coventry and James and Carol Bonner of West Warwick; Brother to Jennifer Kostka and husband Paul and niece Kayla of Coventry, Brittney Bonner and nephew Jayce and niece Brielle of West Warwick and Jacob and Jayden Bonner of West Warwick; Grandson to his maternal grandparents Albert and Arva Scungio of Coventry and nephew to many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Ruth Bonner and his nephew Stephen. Gerry attended Cranston High School West and graduated with a certificate in Electronics. He lived all of his life in Rhode Island and always worked in the electronics field with his unique skill set being building speaker boxes. Gerry will be remembered for his sense of humor, love, and positive outlook on life. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
