Matthew E. Braz

​Matthew E. Braz, 32, of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 2, 2019 surrounded by family and loved ones, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. A Rhode Island native, Matthew loved the Ocean State beaches, signature Rhode Island staples such as Del's lemonade, Haven Bros. Diner and Gregg's. At a young age he had a daredevil talent for wheeling around town whether on inline skates or a skateboard and from the time he could walk was always on the go. Matthew found his passion in hospitality and management and his joy in cooking. He had a gift for taking care of people and always letting them know how much they meant to him. He loved walking in the rain, had a flair for sneakers, immersed himself in current events, great conversation, reminiscing (in amazing detail) about years past and staying through the end credits at the movies. Matthew's bright eyes, famous dimples, funny but loving nature and sweet smile will be forever greatly missed. Please join us for a service at Swan Point Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 1pm-2pm to honor his memory and to celebrate his life.
