Roland Martin Obituary

Roland O. Martin Jr., 56, of Woonsocket, passed away suddenly, Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.  He was the beloved father of Alexandre O. Martin, of Sherman Oaks, CA and Eden M. Martin, Esq., of Gainesville, FL.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roland O. Martin Sr. and Eleanor Martin, of Woonsocket.  During his lifetime, he was a resident of Woonsocket, Burrillville and Millville, MA.

Mr. Martin worked as a cement finisher throughout the New England region for over 35 years.  Concrete ran through his veins.  He was the best to ever do it.

Roland was a hard worker. He was the type of man who could make anything happen that he set his mind to.  He enjoyed fishing, Patriots football, classic cars and dining out. Those who loved him will always remember his voice, his laugh and his determination. He always hoped he would leave something to this world that would have a lasting, positive impact.

In addition to his children and mother, he leaves behind his sister, Alyce Reindeau, of Utah, his brother, Kevin Martin, of Woonsocket, his brother, Jim Martin, of Florida and Janice Martin, of Burrillville.

His family is incredibly proud of the fact that he was a registered organ donor and that the gift of his liver was used to extend the life of another person.

He will be forever remembered by his children, family and friends who loved him.”
