Rui Resendes Perry

Rui Perry, age 33, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 07, 2019, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was born May 16, 1986, in Providence, the son of Dawn Marie Perry and Rui Furtado.

Rui graduated from East Providence High School, Class of 2004. He worked for Triple Play Carwash and Bernie & Phyl's Furniture.

Rui truly lived life to the fullest, and he was always the life of the party. His pleasures included watching and playing sports, spending time with his son, family, and friends. Most would say Rui considered himself to be an avid poker player who really enjoyed participating in poker tournaments. Anyone who knew Rui knew that he loved his son, Jayden, more than anything in the world. Rui had an uncanny ability to spread infectious joy into the lives of anyone he met.

Rui was predeceased by his Grandmother Patricia Perry and Great Grandmother Anna Perry. He is survived by his son, Jayden Perry; a brother, Ryan Furtado; his Uncles Jason Perry, Arthur James Perry; Aunt, Anne Perry; and cousins, Trey, Devin, Raymond, Alexia, Unique; as well as many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Rui touched are invited to a closed casket ceremony at the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd Providence, RI 02906, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. Cremation to follow after the ceremony is concluded.
