Alfredo Borgos Obituary

Alfredo Borgos, of Centerville, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Alfredo, "Fredo" as his family and friends called him was 31 years old.

Alfredo was born on May 20, 1990, in Newark, NJ, to the late Pedro Borgos, and Vivian Roman. Fredo's life was full of family, love, and support. Despite his very large family, Fredo had a way of always finding room for more love for his six nieces and eight nephews. Fredo was their favorite uncle. A gentle and loving spirit, he was often admired by his family and friends and was described as someone you always wanted to keep in your company.

Fredo grew up in Hyannis and attended Barnstable Schools eventually landing at Sturgis Charter School. Fredo loved baseball and fishing and was "Uncle Fredo" to every child that he encountered. Fredo made his friend's feel that they were his "best friend". If you knew Fredo, you knew his most cherished fulfillment was his Mother. Fredo will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Alfredo is survived by his light, his mother, "Mami". Mami and Alfredo, "Gordo" as she called him, had a loving friendship that we all will continue to admire. His seven siblings, brother Whilhem Alvarez and his wife Mia Alvarez of Massachusetts, brother Henry Borgos of Massachusetts, brother Lino Borgos and his wife Brittney Borgos of Florida, his brother Pedro Borgos and his significant other Nicole Stultz of Massachusetts, sister Deborah Gamarra of Florida and half-brother Richard Borgos of New York. Alfredo is preceded in death by his half-brother Juan Borgos. Alfredo is survived by his adoring six nieces and eight nephews. Alfredo is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.

In addition to his father, Alfredo is survived by his maternal grandmother, Paula Mercedes Ramos and preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Aurelio Roman and his paternal grandparents, Ramon Borgos and Georgina Ramos.

The family would also like to send a special thank you to Fredo's closest friends, who have been part of this family too; Charles Illiffe, Lou Sarkas, and Ben Leary.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Victory Chapel, 32 Kidd's Hill Road Hyannis, MA; and will be followed by a Memorial Reception at 4:30 pm at the Fraternal Lodge, 1989 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA.
