Anita C (Costa) Harrell Obituary

Anita Harrell, born in Bristol, RI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5th. She and her husband resided in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, for 40 years.

Beloved wife of John Harrell, Anita was a devoted mother to the late Anita Harrell Sundelin and Laura Harrell. She was a loving grandmother to Celia Laliberte and Caleb Shaheen and cherished her two great-grandchildren, Molly and Wyatt Laliberte.

While always prioritizing her family, Anita enjoyed a fulfilling career. She served as a secretary with Almacs Central Office and later as a manager with the Newport Preservation Society, a role that allowed her to share her passion for local history and connect with a diverse community of interesting individuals from all over the world.

In her free time, Anita's creative spirit shone through. She was a talented and avid seamstress and crafter, creating beautiful pieces of art that will forever be treasured.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Anita's cherished charitable organization.

May her memory be a blessing.
