Antonio Carvalho

Antonio (Tony) Carvalho, age 70, of Bristol, R.I., passed away July 21, 2022.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Juliette Carvalho, and his sister, Judith Velleca. He was the devoted and loving partner of Rose Cicero and is also survived by his daughter Juliette Carvalho, sons Loren Carvalho and Matthew Cicero, daughter-in-law Leah Carvalho, granddaughter Stella Carvalho, sister Maggie Howard and brother-in law Michael Howard, along with many nieces and nephews and supportive and loyal friends.

A 1969 graduate of Bristol High School and a graduate of Graham Junior College in Boston, MA, Tony was most proud of being a member of the local RuJu Cast band. He moved to the west coast and played many gigs in the Los Angeles area and talked often about his appearance on the "Gong Show." After moving back to Bristol, he looked forward to joining his Ruju Cast members for reunion appearances.

Tony was the Building Official in Catalina, CA, Providence, RI., and later retired as Building Official in Warren, RI. He was a member of the ICC (International Code Council) and the Elks, Bristol County, RI Lodge #1860.

The ocean was Tony's passion, and he was a fearless diver. His greatest joy was apparent by the huge smile on his face every time he steered his beloved boat off the dock and into the bay. He was happiest with his family and close friends by his side and will be dearly missed.
