Barry Schuman (73) of Providence, RI passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. He was very brave during his illness.
Barry was born to Elias Schuman and Ninel (Berkovitch) Schuman on February 10, 1950 in Yonkers, NY. Barry was a proud and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed his retirement years with his beloved partner Nancy Worthen of 22 years in Providence, RI. They enjoyed gardening, cooking, contra dancing, and raising chickens. Barry loved to spend time with family and friends.
Barry had a big heart and his eyes twinkled with humor. He loved telling jokes and limericks. We will miss his silly grin and giggle. Barry's compassion for people and non judgemental attitude left a deep impression on us. We love him so much and he will be greatly missed.
