Catherine M. McGovern Obituary
Catherine M. McGovern of Charlestown, RI, age 71, passed away on May 3, 2022. Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of Edward McGovern and Catherine (Leeman) McGovern.
She is survived by her siblings: Barbara A. Brent (Michael), Edward F. McGovern, Jr., Patricia M. Kenyon, Margaret E. McGovern, Eileen F. Nelson (James), Kelly A. McGovern, sister-in-law Marcia McGovern and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers David K. and Thomas M. McGovern and her beloved partner Bruce Knight.
Catherine worked at URI for 30 years in the Department of Business. In retirement, she was happiest spending time with all of her extended family especially her nieces and nephews from RI, California and Maryland. She loved playing cards with family and friends.
A celebration of life for Catherine will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
