David Dorrance, affectionately known as a "gentle giant," passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. At just 60 years young, Daviď's warmth, love, and devotion to his family left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
David shared 33 beautiful years with his beloved partner, Jaroen Bates. He was a dedicated stepfather to Jaroen Gouge and Norman Bates, a proud grandfather to Gabbie, Devon, Athena, Aidan, Rinoa, and Ryder, and a doting great-grandfather to Jayda, Jizelle, and Jasmin. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Gail Soares of Texas, who held a special place in his heart.
David loved life's simple pleasures, from the thrill of NASCAR races and the quiet focus of hunting to the joy of visiting country fairs with his grandchildren. He found solace and happiness in his backyard, often in the company of his loyal dog.
David's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered always. He had a unique way of making everyone feel valued and loved, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him.
