Diane Rose (Grady) Kennedy Obituary

Diane Rose Kennedy, 81, passed away on June 8, 2025, surrounded by family at Hope Health Hospice in Providence, RI. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret E. (Davis) and Raymond J. Grady. She was predeceased by her sister Linda (Grady) Fuvich and her brother Raymond Grady. She was blessed with two children, Lisa (Zinno) Golding and Charles Zinno and his wife Emmeline (Westcott) Zinno. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Nicholle Golding, Andrew Arnett and many great grandchildren.

Growing up, Diane worked in the jewelry industry. She also owned her own upholstery business for many years. She raised her family, instilling the values of hard work and dedication to those you love. Her most enjoyable career came later when she worked as the Seafood Manager at Stop & Shop in Westerly, RI, from which she retired.

She loved playing video games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to many destinations worldwide throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and admiring birds and spent many hours planting flowers in her yard with her daughter.

Millie, her dog of over fifteen years, that she had rescued, was her baby and had a cup of coffee with her daily. Her favorite past time at home was watching the live Eagle cams with their baby eaglets in Big Bear on the Bald Eagle cam in CA. and watching the live Bear cams from Katmai National Park - Brook Falls, Alaska.

A difficult time in Diane's life was the death of her grandchild Justin Zinno five years ago. Diane will be buried in her family's plot at New Fernwood Cemetery in South Kingstown R.I., where Justin lays in rest.
