Diane was known for her quick wit, sharp intelligence, and humorous nature.  An avid animal lover, she held a special place for her cats and was immensely proud of her family. Diane is survived by her loving husband, Henry Wharton, and her step daughter, Desiree Mathieu. She was a cherished grandmother to Olivia and Rene Lee. Diane was a sister to Claire Garcia, Patricia Schiavulli, Sherri Sprague, and Sandra Curran, all of West Warwick. She was beloved aunt to Maegan, Alexander, Emily, Noah, Kyle, Nicholas, Kimberly, Alexandria, Christy, Mark, Sandy, Maria, Mathew, and a great aunt to ten nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Claire Schiavulli, and her nephew Cornelio. In her leisure, Diane found joy and solace in reading.  She also enjoyed caring for her fur babies and the quiet moments with Henry. Their times spent laughing, morning conversations, and occasional kitchen dances were a source of joy in her life. 

A private service will be held to honor Diane's memory.  Her presence and warmth will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
