Obituary
Dorothy (Dottie) V. DeMarco (11/4/1936 - 5/5/2022), 85, of North Providence passed away 5/5/2022. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Thomasina Melone, beloved mother of Rhonda Pari, Cindy Noreau and the late Dr. Gregory Pari, grandmother of Duane (Edelene) Noreau, great grandmother of Julia Noreau and sister of Anthony (Denise) Melone. Dorothy was born in Providence and attended Mount Pleasant High School. She retired in 2005 from the purchasing department at Fatima Hospital.
Her passing from COVID-19 was sudden and unexpected since with her amazingly good health, we always thought she would live forever. Her marriages to Severino Pari and Ed DeMarco ended in divorce but they remained friendly up until each of their respective deaths. Before she entered assisted living at Anchor Bay at Pocasset, Dorothy was always on the go, looking beautiful, impeccably dressed and exquisitely made up, and looking forward to the next activity. She was funny, engaging and feisty and always had a quip for everyone she encountered. Dorothy's house was always spotless and her decorating skills were the envy of her two daughters. The family has many fond memories of holiday gatherings enjoying her specialties of lasagna and delicious Red Velvet cake and butterballs, while sparring with each other as typically expressive Italians do. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
