Elaine I. (Lonardo) Iannucci Obituary

Elaine I. (Lonardo) Iannucci passed away on May 1, 2026 in North Smithfield, RI. The daughter of the late Frances (Capece) Lonardo and William Lonardo, she lived in Lincoln most of her adult life with her beloved husband Albert (Abbey) Iannucci.

Born in Providence, on April 4, 1937, Elaine spent her entire life in Rhode Island (and as a snowbird in Delray Beach, Florida), and traveled the world with her best friend, the late Barbara Sock, and family members until her later years. She enjoyed many summers into fall playing golf, and during baseball season, cheering on the Boston Red Sox. She was a loving and generous aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and to the rest of her extended family, hosting many holidays and a large, traditional Southern Italian (“Seven Fishes”) Christmas Eve with Abbey for nearly two decades. Before retiring, Elaine worked as a medical administrator for her brother-in-law’s private physician practice in Providence, where she greeted longtime patients with care and kindness.

She is survived by Abbey, and predeceased by her sisters Josephine Ferrante, Loretta Andreozzi, and Dolores DiSimone; and brothers Bart Lonardo, William Lonardo, and Robert Lonardo.

Her family is especially grateful for the wonderful care and support provided by St. Antoine’s nursing, social work, clergy, and staff during her time there.

A private mass will be held at St. Antoine’s Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the non-profit Hope Alzheimer's Center in Cranston.
