Frank Pecsi, 86, beloved Father and friend, was called to his eternal resting place on April 4, 2023. He entered this world on December 10, 1936 in Janoshalma, Hungary. He is survived by his partner Pauline Desjarlais; his son Peter Ryan and his wife Tina; his daughter Clara Wass and her husband Conan; his step-daughter Paulette Boiteau and her husband Denis; his step-daughter Kellie Jensen and her husband Chris and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He defected from Hungary to find a better life and fulfill a dream of coming to the United States. He achieved that dream and brought his family with him. Here he was able to live a life that he had hoped was possible. Easy to talk to, Frank never met a stranger. He had a voracious appetite for knowledge. At any given moment you could find him either reading books or watching the History or Discovery Channel. He looked for opportunities to understand things better, to comprehend the world around him and to figure out how things worked. Forever the handyman, he constantly tinkered in his workshop (Fort Knox) to fix things for the house or for people he knew. And the green thumb that Frank had was second to none. He could get the most beautiful things to grow and flourish just about anywhere. He was a kind, compassionate soul. Generous to a fault and always willing to give a helping hand or a listening ear. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our hearts are broken that he is gone; that we don't get to see his kind smile or hear him asking us how we're doing. We will grieve the loss of his presence at family gatherings or having him available to give us his advice and words of wisdom. However, we are grateful that he is at peace and we look forward to seeing him again one day when it is our time to go.
