Gerard Lucian Tellier, age 79, "Gerry," "Butch," passed away on April 20, 2021, after a long illness. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Lillian and Ernest Tellier. Gerry was a resident of North Smithfield for over thirty years before moving to live with his son Norman G. and his daughter-in-law, Jodie (Maranda) Tellier in Warwick, RI. He will be missed by his sister Simone Tellier of Blackstone, MA, his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. We also remember his late daughter Michelle Fountain and his late brother, Norman A. Tellier.
Gerard worked for over twenty years as a truck painter at Janelle Truck Body, as well as, Draper Corporation for as many years. He was very proud of his employment and the help he gave the residents of the Friendly Home of North Smithfield. He supported the residents and joined them in cheering for the New England Patriots as a life long fan.
Gerry also enjoyed the great outdoors and was always active at Rhode Island beaches clamming, trout fishing and camping. He was also an avid hunter and loved to be in the wild creating many fond memories with family and friends.
A small gathering of family and close friends will take place on Tuesday morning at Olson & Parent Funeral Home, 417 Plainfield St. Providence. Burial will follow at the Union Village Cemetery, North Smithfield, RI.
