Gracie Myrna Sampson (Noble), 58, of Mapleville, RI peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island, after a long battle with cancer and continued illness.

Gracie is survived by her ex-husband Richard Sampson; children Emily Sampson and Ann Sampson; her brother Carlton Noble III of Northern California and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Carlton Noble II and Myrna Noble (Beaton) of Taunton, MA.

Gracie was born on Monday, February 7, 1966 in Dorchester, MA at Harley Hospital to the late Carlton Noble II and Myrna Noble (Beaton). She graduated from Milton High School in 1984. She later attended Quincy College and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Gracie has always been passionate about genealogy. She traced her families descendants back to the early 1600s. Gracie would spend hours doing research and going to grave sites to determine family lines. Even with all the time spent to trace her own family tree, she would also help individuals do the same for their families with her spare time. Gracie was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 2009, where she served as the State Registrar and State Regent; Daughters of the American Colonists since 2012; The American-French Genealogical Society since 2014; and National Society Daughters of Colonial Wars since 2014. She also loved all animals, to knit, and to spend time in nature.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to HopeHealth Hospice and all of the staff for their compassionate care in Gracie's last few days.

Gracie's funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hope and Memory at Swan Point Cemetery; 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI.  Her funeral service will begin at 12:30pm.
