James Joseph Amaral, 66, died at Rhode Island Hospital on October 11, 2023.  He was the loving husband of Violet F. (Silva) Amaral.  Born in Providence, he was the son of Rose A. (Capobianco) and Henry Amaral.  

James was married to the late Maryann Souza. He married Violet in 2003 becoming the stepfather to Cadence E. DeMars and Francesca S. DeMars. He was blessed with children Russell Amaral and Melissa Amaral-Reyes, husband Mike Reyes. He will also be missed by his sister Carol Amaral Owens (the late Terry Owens) and their children Sherry, April, Wendy, Frank and Chris Owens along with grandchildren Alyssa Amaral, Michael Reyes and Marc Reyes.

James was employed for 43 years at Homestead Baking Company, Rumford, Rhode Island until retiring in 2017.

Jim was a loving, caring person who helped many people in his lifetime.  He was greatly loved by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
