Obituary
James Wood, 62, beloved Father Grandfather and Husband, entered his eternal rest peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2023. He entered this world on January 15, 1961, in Providence, Rhode Island, born to Shirley Merebaum and Wallace Wood. He was adopted at age 2 by Edward Taylor and Ruth Taylor and spent the majority of his life in North Fort Myers FL. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Tamara Wood, daughters Tiffany Barberino, son-in-law John Barberino, Jr of Boca Raton FL and Jamie Wood and son-in-law Justin Burner of Lehigh Acres FL. He had three grandsons Brayden James Barberino, 10, Anthony Burner, 4, and Giovanny Burner, 1, who were his pride and joy. He loved fishing, the Boston Red Sox, lighthouses, Seinfeld, country music and western movies. He worked for Norad in Providence for 10 years getting luxury automobiles from the port. He had a larger than life personality and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
