Jamie Mulvey Obituary

Jamie Ann (Nana Bird) Mulvey, 56, born April 24, 1967 in Boston, Massachusetts currently residing in Woonsocket RI sadly passed away on April 11, 2024 with her three daughters, Nicole, Amanda, and Stephanie by her side. She was proudly raised in Dorchester, MA but also resided in Providence RI, and Wareham MA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Francis (Frank) Mulvey and Carol (Peachie) Timmerman of Boston and her son, Eric Mulvey of Woonsocket, RI. She is survived by her reunited daughters Nicole Brothers, Amanda Freeman and Stephanie Mulvey as well as her sons whom she had always hoped to one day heal wounds with (adopted) Ricky, and her baby boy. She was a proud grandmother to ten known grands Tyler, Maddisyn, Kamryn, Keira, William, Bobby, Nevaeh, Roman, Feather, baby girl and due this June her great grandson Lukas whom she was so excited to meet. Jamie was a beloved sister, a cool auntie, a loyal cousin and a genuine friend to SO MANY. Naming family alone would be a huge task nevermind trying to name all of the people who meant so very much to her. If you are reading this, chances are your one of those very special people who will feel the void that the absence of her presence has left. We pray you will keep her spirit alive in your hearts with love and memories of fun times, laughter and good food.

As a proud Irish Bostonian and "vegetarian who ate chicken", she enjoyed cheering on her favorite New England Sports teams, camping in nature and rescuing animals. Jamie had a heart of gold and would do anything in her power to help those around her including giving you the shirt off her back. There wasn't a stray animal or lost soul she could pass by without taking in or offering a plate of food.

If you had a half dead animal in your possession, if there was a box of free kittens at a yard sale, or there was an animal whose owner was not fit (in her mind), you could guarantee Jamie would be leaving with those animals in tow determined to give them a life full of fresh chicken & rice seasoned with lots of love.

If you were to cross or hurt someone Jamie loved, you would encounter her escalating from a fun firecracker of energy to a bombshell of trouble heading your way. Despite the many obstacles she faced from an early age, Jamie fought so hard to the very end to be a loving mother and grandmother. Her dedication, perseverance and never give up attitude showed how much having her children and grandchildren in her life meant to her.

May she be forever at peace basking in the sunshine, floating in a warm body of water, staring into the starlit skies, dancing in the rain, watching reruns of Ellen or Family Guy, snuggling in bed with all her animals while protecting her family from above as we continue to make her proud in her absence.

In lieu of flowers we ask that any donations be made to the MSPCA or your local animal shelter in Jamie's name. As Jamie requested prior to her passing there will be no services. Instead, a celebration of life in her honor will be held. Invitations will be delivered in the near future. All questions please be directed to her daughters via facebook. The family respectfully asks for privacy at this difficult time of grief while navigating through this loss. Please feel free to offer condolences and share your memories below as a tribute to her life.
