Judith "Judy" A. Dombroski Obituary
Judith “Judy” A. Dombroski, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Evergreen
Home in East Providence, RI.
Born to Frank J. and Louise “Monica” (Healey) Dombroski, she was raised in Pawtucket where
she lived most of her life until moving to East Providence 12 years ago.
As a child, she attended St. Mary’s School and was a 1965 graduate of Pawtucket West High
School. Her compassion for others led her to a career in nursing, having graduated from RI
School of Practical Nursing in 1968. A hardworking and dedicated LPN, she spent her entire
career caring for the elderly at the former Jewish Home for the Aged and Pawtucket Health
Center.
Judy was an avid, lifelong NE Patriots fan. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, the beach, and
going to the casino, especially to play bingo. She was fortunate and grateful to have also
traveled with her family and friends for many years.
She loved going out to eat. While she appreciated a good prime rib, it was a Stanley Burger and
Quebec fries that she craved most. And, of course, she would never refuse a coffee Awful Awful!
Judy was fun-loving with a gift of gab, able to befriend anyone wherever she went. She loved
animals and will be missed by her fur babies, Cookie, Tobi, Milo and Cooper.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Lisa Dombroski of East Providence and Lynn Dombroski of
North Providence. She was the loving sister to Frank J. Dombroski, of Hudson, FL. and the late
Joan “Cookie” Coutu of Warwick, and an awesome aunt to her “favorite” niece, Lori Coletta and
her husband David of Coventry.
Her most cherished role was being an amazing grandmother. Nothing gave her greater pride and
joy than doting on her granddaughters, Taylor Birchall of North Providence and Emily Ramsey of
East Providence. They were her world and she couldn’t have been prouder of them.
She also leaves behind numerous cousins and close friends, especially Robin, Vina and Nancy.
The family is grateful to all of those who provided care, support and friendship to Judy,
especially when she needed it most.
Services will be private.
Donation in lieu of flowers may be made in Judy’s memory to a local animal shelter or
