Julie Ann Fadgen, 65, of West Warwick, RI, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on June 2, 2022. She was born September 13, 1956 in Providence, RI to the late Albert E Laycock Jr and Dorothy Claire (San Souci) Laycock. In addition to her parents, Julie was predeceased by her loving husband of over 20 years, Earl J Fadgen Jr.
Above all else, Julie was a mom, a grandma and a friend to anyone who knew her. When her kids were young, she was the mom that never missed a school event, game or even a practice. She spent all of her time chauffeuring her kids, and often all of their friends, in her beloved red and white Volkswagen bus, blasting Billy Joel and Queen.
Later in life, she enjoyed cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars, watching curling, ferrying over to Block Island, and bragging about her grandchildren. She was an avid supporter of LGBTQ rights, often attending parades and rallies. She was also a big advocate for the rights of the handicapped, particularly the blind. She was loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by daughter Candace Dahar and her husband Victor of Manchester, NH; daughter Steffani Andriolo and her husband Brian of Salem, NH; son Eric Martin and his partner Mitchell Gregoire of East Greenwich, RI; son Gregory Martin of West Warwick, RI; stepson Keith Fadgen and his fiancé Megan Marshall of Whitensville, MA; along with her 13 beloved grandchildren: Maverick Thurber; Hunter and Connor Arling; Amelia, Alexis, and Benjamin Andriolo, Sebastian, Arianna, and Isabella Martin; Amanda and Abigayle Fadgen; and Violet and Victor Dahar. She is also survived by her longtime partner, Charles Brown of Johnston, RI.
A Celebration of Julie's Life will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5pm - 8pm at the West Warwick Elks Lodge in West Warwick, RI.
