Kevin Thomas Fagan Obituary
Kevin Thomas Fagan died on January 31, 2022. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Barbara (Lambe) and the late Thomas Fagan. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jean (Egersheim) Fagan for over 20 years.
Kevin grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts, and attended Brighton High School where he was a member of the Blue Diamond Drum and Bugle Corp. Kevin and his mother were able to attend the year they won the national championship in Ohio.
As a teenager he was known as Captain "CAP" by many of his friends. After graduating high school in 1969, he joined the National Guard.
One of his first jobs was working with his grandfather Elmer Lambe at Sumner and Dunbar water works supply. Kevin quickly learned the business and became a successful salesman at similar companies throughout Massachusetts and Florida. Kevin had a quiet and gentle business approach. His mother would often say that Kevin could sell ice to an Eskimo.
He also had a boat many years ago named Zany Tactics and this was how he met his wife Mary through a mutual friend Margie. Mary and Kevin loved to travel and take cruises to Aruba, St Thomas, and Puerto Rico. They made many trips to South Carolina to attend his nieces' celebrations.
Kevin was a huge football fan and knew the regulations and statistics for the teams, but of course, was a fan of the New England Patriots. As a family, we attended a pre-season game at Gillette Stadium which was so memorable.
He also enjoyed watching wrestling and Sci-fi programs and movies. He was fun and easy going.
Kevin was a loving husband, brother, step-father, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family: Patricia Pacetti and her late husband John of Waltham, MA; Doreen Collins and her husband John of Sumter, SC; Colleen Fagan and her fiancé Michael Medina of Waltham, MA; stepson Billy McGarry and his wife Cindy of Randolph, MA; late step-daughter Connie McGarry; step-grandson Christopher Reed; grandparents Alice and Elmer Lambe and Rose and Joseph Fagan. As well as his nieces and their family from South Carolina, Kristine Trautsch her husband Michael and their children Anna Claire and Alex; Katie Player her husband Chance and their son Caleb; and Kelly Hynes her husband Bradley and their son John Hunter.
Kevin's family want to thank Dr. Haddad and the nursing staff of Kent Hospital for their compassionate care as well as his primary care physician Dr. Alana Torf.
A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a future date.
