Lizbeta Palmer Chisolm passed away peacefully at her home on April 19, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief, but devastating illness. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on May 18, 1956, the third of five sisters.
She is survived by her partner, Richard Santopietro, her children: Berkeley Nowosad and husband Jason, Shenandoah Paun, Gabriel Paun and wife Jillian, grandchildren: Aria and Lilah Nowosad, four sisters: Anne, Buffy, Susan, and Sarah, six nieces and nephews, and her two beloved rescue dogs: Aurora and Roxanne.
Lizbeta will be remembered for her idealism, compassion, kindness, intellect, and eclectic style. She had a great love of the natural world, all its species, especially trees and the beach. Throughout her life she worked to make the world a better place through ethical lifestyle choices and political action. She loved to take her dogs for long walks, visit Block Island and other beaches, read, and spend time with her loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in Providence, RI at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Redwood Chapel, on Thursday April 24, 2025, at 11 am, with graveside service and reception to follow on site.
