Magdalena Lara

On August 11, 2021, Magdalena "Magda" C. Lara Tejeda passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, a daughter of the late Manuel Tejeda and Maria Husban, was the beloved wife of Alcibiades E. Lara who predeceased her in 1988. She leaves behind 5 children, Alcibiades E. Lara (Milena), Betty Rivera (Francisko), Diana Mestra (Braulio), Margarita Lara, and Javier Lara. She also leaves behind 12 grand children and 3 great-grandchildren.

Magda immigrated to the United States in 1984 year and was a registered nurse. When she retired, she regularly enjoyed programming at Progresso Latino in Central Falls, RI. But she certainly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Magda touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

Funeral service with viewing will be held on Saturday August 14, 2021, from 3-5 PM at Olson & Parent Funeral Home, 417 Plainfield Street, Providence, RI.
