Maria Elise Garabo

Maria Elise Garabo, age 59, passed away on Sunday November 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Maria was born April 14, 1964, in Bronx, NY to the late Fred and Joyce Garabo. She was the youngest of three daughters.

Maria truly lived life with kindness and to the fullest through simple pleasures. She loved hanging out with her friends and family, spending time with her son Lee and her grandchildren. Always up for an IKEA trip, a late night donut run, farmers market visits or a last minute breakfast outing. She had a special smile and was a beam of positivity and warmth.

Maria leaves to cherish her loving memory to her son, Lee Sufi and his wife Amy, and her grandchildren Julian and Miles. Along with her sisters, Linda, Diane and her close friend Allison and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and her tight knit circle of friends.

Family, friends and others whose lives Maria touched are invited to her Celebration of Life which will be on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Please stay tuned for more information on this celebration to commemorate Maria.

The family of Maria wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Sabrina Witherby, Maragaret Koehler NP, Nurse Jen and many other staff at the Lincoln Lifespan Cancer Institute and Hope Health Hospice.
