Marilyn D. (Ansell) Moline Obituary

Marilyn (Mal) Moline, age 73, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. She was born on September 18, 1951, in Providence, RI, to the late William and Phyllis Ansell and Agnes and Robert Weeden. She was the cherished wife of Ronnie Moline for 39 years.

Mal was a devoted mother to Tara Hollis (Leon) and Katherine Stryesak, and a loving grandmother to Terrence, Tasia, Deonte, and Brook-Lynne. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Demani. She was Godmother to Heather and Ashley.

Mal is survived by her siblings, Janis Mello (Bill), Ron Ansell, Jackie Forrest (Bud), John Ansell (Anne), David Rossley, Ruth Afflerbach (Alan), and Carol Fox. She is also survived by her in-laws David Moline (Muriel), Walter Moline (Loretta), Marilyn Corvese and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mal always had an open door. Whether you were friends with Tara, Katy, or any of her grandkids, you knew you could always visit and spend time at MeMal's. Known for her generosity, Mal celebrated her 50th birthday by requesting donations for Meals on Wheels instead of gifts. She worked for many years at Newport Creamery before transitioning to Brooks Pharmacy, where she loved interacting with her customers. She spent summers on Echo Lake in Chepachet with friends who became family.

Friends and family are encouraged to attend Marilyn and her husband, Ronald's committal service at the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. on June 3, 2025.  Attendees will meet inside the front gate of the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery located at 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
