Martin Albert Hoegen III

December 28, 1956 ~ December 4, 2020 (age 63)

Martin (Mick) Hoegen III of Providence, RI, passed peacefully at home with his family by his side from beginning to end after a fearless, and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Providence, RI, Mick was the son of the late Martin Hoegen Jr and the late Carole (Foster) Hoegen O'Donnell.  He is survived by his step-mother Vicki Hoegen.  He was the brother of Michael Hoegen (Tonya Hoegen), Magen Hoegen (Maurice), Rhonda Rohelia (Greg), and brother-in-law Patrick Sherlock.  He was predeceased by his sisters Susan Hoegen, and Karen Sherlock.

Mick and his first wife, Kathleen (Wall) Hoegen were blessed with children:  Josh Hoegen of Providence, RI; Erick Hoegen of Providence, RI; Matthew Hoegen of Warwick, RI; and Justin Wall of South Kingstown, RI.  He was the loving grandfather of Kurtis, Miranda, Mason and Bronwyn.  He leaves behind his Aunt/Godmother Barbara Klausen, Uncle Edward Foster and wife, Margaret, along with many nieces and nephews that he adored.  He also leaves behind his cousin and best friend Don Foster, and his wife, Martha, whom were there every day and every step of the way.

Mick owned "Real Estate Options" and was a real estate Broker and Appraiser.  He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, loved acting, and appeared in several films (Mystic River, Meet Joe Black, Spotlight and others).  Mick was Mick, and lived his life to the fullest and on his own terms.  He was a gentleman with a kind and generous spirit, and lived fearlessly.  Mick loved deeply, and loved his family.  He was friends with the ocean, dancing to music, and waxing poetic.

Final arrangements will be private.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather safely.
