Nancy Carol Murphy

May 23, 1944 ~ August 5, 2020 (age 76)


It is with deep appreciation to God for a beautiful life, that we announce the passing away of a darling wife, devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Nancy Carol Murphy. Nancy, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by beloved family on August 5, 2020. She was born on May 23rd, 1944 in Pawtucket R.I. to parents, Dorothy Patten Shaw and Rene' Brule'. Nancy was married for 55 years to the late Thomas Henry Murphy III. She leaves behind her children Michael Murphy of Seekonk MA, Shawn and Debra Murphy of Mansfield MA, Colleen Lin of North Fort Myers, Fla, Carolann and John Feragne of CT, and Kyle Murphy of Seekonk MA. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren; Robert, Joseph, Shawn Patrick Jr., Chrystal, Kym, Kaytlin, Joshua, Megan, Sydney, Jared, Ryan and Bethany, and four great-grandchildren; Ryle, Kyra, Zavier and Ariya. Nancy is predeceased by two siblings, Ace Brule and Doreen Marshall, and is survived by her younger sister Linda Ayotte.

She lived a fruitful life surrounded by family and friends who loved her. She enjoyed her role as a loving wife and raising her family. Her hobbies included writing poetry, singing, shopping as well as collecting porcelain and baby dolls. She had a great eye for fashion and always kept up with the latest trends. She will be greatly missed.

Due to COVID-19 restriction, Nancy's funeral service will be limited to immediate family members at the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 12 noon.
