Olga Louise Filippini Valdez, 79, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Saturday, April 27, 2024. She was the wife of Ramon Valdez Jr. Olga was born and raised in San Bernardino California. She was the favorite and most beloved daughter of Martin Albert Filippini and Belen (Gomez) Filippini.

While growing up in Southern California, Olga was extremely proud of her Italian Mexican heritage. She was a graduate of San Bernardino High School, San Bernardino Valley College and finally California State University San Bernardino with a masters degree in Psychology. She was a devoted daughter, mother and an amazing elementary school teacher until her retirement. She continued to enjoy reading and was an amazing story teller. Children and education were her passion. She loved movies, TV and music. She loved to sing out loud and dance. She was deeply loved by her family and friends who will never forget her impact on their lives as well as many others whom she influenced through out her years as an educator and friend. She was forever selfless and always there for others. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

Olga was the mother of Luisa M. (Valdez) Jones of West Greenwich, RI and Martin M. Valdez of Denver, CO. Grandmother to Anastasia C. (Jones) Chaves, Adrianna N. Jones, Gwendolynn A.
