Patricia “Summer Rose” McCartin, 81, of Warwick, RI, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, after a short stay at Grandview Nursing Home in Cumberland.
Patricia was a member of the Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe of Fall River, MA. She loved spending time on the Reservation with other tribal members.
She was an avid sewer of clothing and curtains/drapes. She loved cooking, especially Syrian food. Patricia was a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews.
Patricia leaves behind her husband of 41 years Patrick McCartin, her brother Chief Edward “Grayfox” Page and wife Ellie. She was preceded to heaven by her brothers Robert “Lone Wolf,” William “Red Feather,” and Richard “Drifting Wood.”
Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence, RI.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 100 people are allowed in the Church. The Mass will also be lived streamed on St. Raymond’s Facebook page.
