Ramona Gomez

Ramona Gomez, 73, was a living testimony of living by faith and not by sight; peacefully passed away on June 20, 2020.

Ramona was born on October 25, 1946, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to the late Jose Casilla and Altagracia Gomez.

She was preceded in death by her son Wilson Soriano and her great granddaughter Valentina Mejia.

Ramona was an active member of God's Voice Ministries, and a retired Special Education teacher assistant for the Providence School Department. Her students adored her, and her love for them was unmatched.

She led by example, having faith, trust, and hope in God. This is an example her family will continue.

Ramona is survived by her son Robin Soriano (Yudith); her daughter Elizabeth Soriano. Mourning her loss are her grandchildren Yahaira Soriano (Willy); Yulfi Frias (Ariani), Alexandra Mejia (Juan), Karelyn Soriano, Saelly Soriano, Lizmar Torres, and six great grandchildren, and she also leaves behind many other family members who sadly miss her.

Adored by many, her presence will surely be missed.

Funeral Service will be held at Olson & Parent Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. -- 12:00 p.m.. Burial will be private at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd, Providence, RI.
