Raymond Coughlin Obituary

Raymond Coughlin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Born to Raymond Coughlin Sr. and Rose Montanaro Coughlin.

Ray's life was a testament to kindness, simplicity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world.

Ray leaves behind his devoted wife, Fay Klein, who shared with him a life filled with love and laughter. He was the cherished father of Allison and Lisa, whose husband, Fran, also held a special place in his heart. Ray's granddaughters, Vicky and her husband John, and Marissa, all brought him immense pride and joy.

Ray is also survived by his sister, Susan, and her husband, John, as well as their daughter, Sarah and her husband, Dan, and their son, Sebastian. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Kevin.

Raymond was active in the lives and of his stepchildren and their family. He was loved by all: Nicole and her husband, Derek, and their children, Aiden, Carmyn, and Owen; Maria and her husband, Isaac, and their daughter, Simone; Alex and his partner, Sandy. Ray's love extended to his lifelong friends, cherished cousins, many beloved extended family members, and family doggies, who brought him great joy and comfort throughout his life.

Ray was a confident, sensitive, and sweet man who formed deep and enduring relationships. From his teenage years, he embraced the teachings of Buddhism, finding peace and wisdom in its philosophy. Ray's joy for life was evident in his passions, which included riding his motorcycle, taking long walks, birding, and capturing the world through his photography. He had a gift for finding humor in life's moments, brightening the days of those around him.

Ray will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered for his warmth, gentle spirit, and the laughter he brought to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who are forever grateful for the time they shared with him.

A celebration of Ray's life will be held in the warmth of summer with arrangements to be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The ALS Association.
