Richard William Mills, 80, of Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 8, 2022, following complications from a recurring brain tumor. Richard was born in Providence on January 11, 1942, son of the late William A. and Edith K. (Wikstrom) Mills. He was a 1960 graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School.
Richard, a lifelong machinist, was President and owner of Mills Machining in Warwick. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, and deeply enjoyed muscle cars, body surfing big waves, skiing and playing tennis. He will be remembered for his sweet tooth and creative sense of humor.
He was the father of David Mills and his wife Jennifer of Hope Valley, Lizzy Max of Hurley, New Mexico, and Jennifer Mills and her husband Terrence Fallon of Hope Valley, grandfather of Megan, Katelyn, and Stephen Mills, and uncle to Stephen, David and Chris Eidam. Richard will also be remembered by his longtime friend and companion, Barbara Gregory.
A private memorial gathering of family and friends will be held to remember and celebrate Richard's life.
