Richard was born on June 6, 1962, spent 20 years on Cape Cod before moving back to Providence, Rhode Island, in 2009 where he touched the hearts of many with his kindness and generous spirit.

Richard is survived by his cherished wife, Tammy Morrison-Rice, whose love and companionship were invaluable to him throughout their years together. He was predeceased by his parents the late Richard Rice and the late Dominga B. (Tavares) Rice and his sibling the late Shane Rice. Richard will be deeply missed by his children Brytanie Gumpton, and his twin sons Richard and Ronald Bridges.  He was the step-father to Joseph Morrison, Justin and Jason Morrison. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, whom will dearly miss their Papa, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
