Robert Joseph Venditelli Obituary

Robert (Bob) Joseph Venditelli, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday November 24, 2024. He was the son of the late Vincent J. Venditelli and the late Rita Casey, and brother to the late Vincent J. Venditelli, Jr. (Grace). He was husband of 36 years to Ulana Decyk.

Bob attended Mt. Pleasant High School and Rhode Island School of Design. He was employed by Federal Products and Walco Electric. Bob later opened his own commercial art studio and was a partner of Lewis and Clark Advertising Associates. Bob then worked as sales and marketing manager at two high-end recreational vehicle dealerships in Massachusetts. Bob was an amazing artist but also highly admired other artists and craftspeople, especially illustrators such as Norman Rockwell and Walt Disney (Bob was a huge fan of visiting Disney World).

In the 1950s, Bob played electric bass and sang in several bands (Bobby Van and the Vancelles[not the Bobby Van of Broadway fame] and Vince Carmen) throughout New England and New York City, as well as with bands on Block Island.

Bob was an avid golfer and played as long as he could. As a member of RIGA, he enjoyed playing as many numerous and varied golf courses as he could.

Bob and his brother were also car enthusiasts and attended many car shows together, including many in which his brother showcased his own restored 1967 Mini Cooper.

Bob's greatest asset was his personable demeanor and he easily made friends with virtually anyone he met.

Bob was immensely proud of his family.

Bob leaves behind three daughters, Renee Pierre of Warwick; Michelle Venditelli (Robert Buttie, Jr) of Cranston; and Kristen Venditelli (Vaughn Medford) of Sacramento, California.

Bob also leaves behind four grandchildren, Aisha Pierre and Soleil Pierre of Warwick, Jordan Buttie and Jonah Buttie of Cranston; niece Denise Venditelli (Stephen Coppotelli) of Johnston; grand-niece Sheena Nelson and great-grand niece Sadie Nelson of Connecticut; nephew Vincent Venditelli (Melani) of North Providence, and grand-nephew Ty Venditelli of Tiverton.

Per Bob's wishes, interment is private. A memorial Celebration of Life is planned for Spring 2025.

Donations in Bob's memory can be made to any animal shelter; or Make-a-Wish Foundation; or Hope Health Hospice Care Services.

A very special thanks to the staff, in particular the aides and nurses from Hope Health Hospice.
