Roger Angelo DiQuinzio Obituary

Roger Angelo DiQuinzio, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Coventry, Rhode Island, surrounded by his loved ones on March 5, 2026. He was born on July 11, 1950, at Truesdale Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts, to Evelyn (Balasco) Dorsi and the late Angelo DiQuinzio.

Roger's grandparents immigrated from Italy and were the first Italian family to settle on Maple Avenue in Barrington, Rhode Island. They established the Vienna Bakery in Barrington, which remains open to this day.
Roger will be remembered most for the deep love he had for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen (Copeland) DiQuinzio, and their cherished daughter, Crystal DiQuinzio. He will also be greatly missed by his grandson, Kyle Tanner; his great-grandson, Jax Tanner; his mother, Evelyn Dorsi; and his siblings, Celeste Dorsi and Robert DiQuinzio. He also leaves behind an uncle, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Roger was a graduate of Barrington High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies. During his career, he worked for the State of Rhode Island as a road surveyor and later worked as a paralegal and housing inspector until his retirement.

Outside of work, Roger was a passionate sports fan. Win or lose, he was a devoted Cleveland Browns supporter and also closely followed the Boston Red Sox. He especially enjoyed spending time fishing with his grandson Kyle.

Roger was also known for his athletic ability in his younger years, particularly playing baseball and for his impressive ability to throw a football 70 yards with accuracy from his knees. He lived an active life and enjoyed riding bikes along local bike paths with his wife. He also had a passion for classic American muscle cars, old black-and-white B horror movies, The Twilight Zone, The Rifleman, and listening to his favorite band, The Monkees. Roger will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be private. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge #2285, located at 42 Nooseneck Hill Road, West Greenwich, RI 02817. All are welcome to attend. Sean Ledoux will give a memorial talk at 12:00 p.m., and a slideshow presentation will run throughout the afternoon for those who arrive later.
