Ronald Heroux Obituary

Ronald E. Heroux passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2022. He was 86 years old. He was the husband of Susan C. Heroux for over 49 years.

Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of Ralph Heroux Sr. and Bertha Chadwick Heroux Phillips. He attended Attleboro High School. He was employed at Olin Corp/A.J. Oster and worked as a metal slitter for 20+ years.

He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 13, 1960. He faithfully served as a ministerial servant in the congregation.

His siblings are as follows: Phyllis Morgan, Ralph Heroux (deceased), Russell Heroux, Norma McDuff and Carolyn Dowd. His children are Timothy Heroux and spouse Rhona Bortnick; Paul Heroux and spouse Nancy Heroux; Alycia Prescott and spouse Wade Prescott; Kyria Amado and spouse Alan Amado; and Alex Heroux and spouse Christina Heroux. His grandchildren are: Jared Heroux, Jason Heroux, Ryan Heroux, Danielle Heroux, Caleb Prescott, Ella Prescott, Teigan Heroux and Alexis Heroux. His great-grandchildren are: Johanne Heroux, Brijette Heroux, Elijah Heroux, Ember Heroux, Elliott Heroux, and one on the way, Eron Heroux. He also has many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ron, as most people called him, was known for being warm, affectionate, generous, as well as his love for people and his passion for life. He was full of joy and loved to laugh. He loved providing hospitality, along with his wife Susan, for his friends and family. He loved to cook and loved to enjoy every morsel of food on his plate. He loved working on any project around the house or yard. He did much of the construction and building of his own home, as well as building furniture, and many other things for his home. He loved spending time outside manicuring his yard and enjoyed projects such as building a stone wall, a waterfall with a pond and brick walkways. He used his skills in helping to build his place of worship, the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Arcade Ave, Seekonk in 1986.

Ron’s greatest love of his life was with his relationship with his God, Jehovah. He always said, “A good relationship with Jehovah God is the most valuable thing you can possess.” He was known for reading his Bible every day. He told everyone he could about God’s promises from the Bible about a future paradise and a resurrection of all those in God’s memory. He faithfully lived his life according to Bible standards. He was known for his warm hugs and affection and was loved by all in his congregation. He loved his wife and family with all his heart.

Ron will be dearly missed by his large family and many friends; all those whose lives and hearts he has touched. We all long for the day when we will see him again on a paradise earth, young and strong again. Job 14:14.
