Ronald Moline Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Moline of Cranston passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. Born on September 14, 1948, in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late David and Elsie Moline. Ron was the devoted husband of the late Marilyn Moline, who passed just 11 days before him; May 31 would have marked their 40th wedding anniversary.

He was a loving father to Tara Hollis (Leon) and Katherine Stryesak, and a cherished Pa to Terrence, Tasia, Deonte, and Brooklynne. Ron was also a proud great-grandfather to Demani and a special friend to his niece, Nancy.

Ron is survived by his siblings, David Moline (Muriel), Walter Moline (Loretta), and Marilyn Corvese (Ray); and by his in-laws, Janis Mello (Bill), Ron Ansell, Jackie Forrest (Bud), John Ansell (Anne), David Rossley, Ruth Afflerbach (Alan), and Carol Fox. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

In 1967, Ron enlisted in the US Army under the buddy system with his best friend, Bobby Yuski, and served for six years. He was an Expert Rifleman and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service in Korea.

Ron dedicated his career to the jewelry industry, founding Ringer Jewelry Company—named after his mother’s family—and later serving as Production Manager at Kirks Folly in Providence, where he retired after 30 years of devoted service.

Outside of work, Ron enjoyed spending time at the track, on the softball field, at the bowling alley, and on the golf course. He especially treasured summers at Echo Lake in Chepachet, surrounded by friends who became family.

Friends and family are encouraged to attend Ronald and his wife, Marilyn's committal service at the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. on June 3, 2025.  Attendees will meet inside the front gate of the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery located at 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
