Sage Anthony Woodard, 23, of Pawtucket, RI was called home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2023, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Sage was the son of Scott Anthony Woodard, and Rocshane Laquane Woodard and her partner, Aaron Miller. Besides his parents, Sage is survived by his brother Jordan Scott Woodard of Hawaii, sister Danai Janelle Motta and her husband Matt, brother Taylor William Woodard, grandparents Honor and Lillian Woodard, his aunt in Washington DC, his Uncle Desmond Brooks of North Carolina and a host of extended family and dear friends from every walk of life.
Sage was a wonderful young man with a beautiful spirit. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp following his graduation from Tolman High School.
During basic training he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Marine Corps Chapel.
Upon graduation from basis training, he was assigned to Okinawa, Japan, where he served for five years.
Sage quickly moved through the ranks to become a Sergeant at the age of 21. His primary specialty was an Aircraft Avionics Technician.
During his service, Sage received many decorations, medals, and badges including the Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal, Navy Meritorious Unit commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal plus several ribbons and letters of appreciation.
His absence leaves an unfillable void in our hearts. We are thankful to God for the time Sage had on this earth and the impact he had on our lives.
