Sean M. Davis, 38, son of Ellen Davis and Father to Carson Davis, passed away from a very sudden and unexpected medical event doing what he loved, playing softball with his friends on May 31st, 2025.

Sean was born on January 14th, 1987 at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, IL and raised in Bethel, Vermont. He lived for the past several years in the Providence, RI area making friends and spreading laughs and love everywhere he went.

Sean had a zestful love for life and people and could easily bring a smile to anyone’s face with his amazing sense of humor and outgoing nature. As an active member in several social sports leagues, Sean was an instrumental pillar in cultivating the Providence Gay Flag Football League (PVDGFFL) in 2019 and was actively involved as a board member, captain, and player. He played softball with Providence Platinum since 2016 and was involved in countless other groups and communities. Sean was also a very creative and talented shibari rope artist and always wanted to help others discover the beauty within themselves. He traveled the country and the world with his friends and left a mark on everyone he knew.

Sean was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Fred Davis Jr. and Ramona (Cruz) Davis. Sean leaves behind his mother Ellen Davis, his son Carson Davis, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with an entire community of friends he considered family. He had finally found the love of his life in November of 2020 and leaves behind his Fiancée Theresa Waterbury. They were to be married on August 29, 2025 and were planning on eloping to Iceland. 

Celebrations of Sean’s life will be held both in Vermont and Rhode Island at a later date so his loved ones can attend which celebration is closer to them. Details will follow.
