Seetammal "Sita" Venkanna Chetty Obituary
Mrs. Chetty was born and raised in the small, remote village of Nasau in the township of Nadi, Fiji Islands. The youngest daughter of Girmityas -- the late Krishna and Chintaiamma Reddy -- she grew up surrounded by the deep traditions and values that shaped her exceptional spirit. She was predeceased by her thirteen beloved brothers and sisters and two adopted siblings, a testament to the rich and storied family from which she came.
On June 14, 1952, she married the Late S.V. Chetty, a schoolteacher whose partnership she cherished until his passing in 2003. Together they built a life grounded in love, respect, and unwavering commitment to family and community.
Mrs. Chetty lived a remarkable life, embraced each role with grace and boundless love. Her warmest extended well beyond family, touching hundreds of lives across Fiji and around the world. Those who know her will always remember her joyful presence, her vibrant spirit, and the strong family values that were the hallmark of her life. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the blessing of her extraordinary life and the legacy she leaves behind. Amma will be deeply missed by her daughter Manjula, her sons Vimal, Vinod, and Vijay, their spouses, and all members of her extended family.
May Amma find eternal peace, wrapped in the love of all whose lives she so beautifully touched.
