Theresa Helen (Drumb) Bassett crossed into Heaven on April 26, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1929  in Hamtramck, Michigan. Her parents were Ursula Sophie Nowak and Martin Chester Drumb. She had eight brothers and sisters of which two are still alive.

She married Edward Joseph Bassett in 1952 in Wayne County, Michigan.  Her greatest and most precious treasures were her three children: Nancy Mann (Wakarusa, KS), Karen Garnett (Chepatchet, RI), Michael Bassett (Hong Kong, China), her six grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. 

Theresa was a wonderful teacher and taught in the Niles Public Schools for many years. Her teaching over 40 years was in elementary school, middle school, special education, high school reading, working with at-risk students, and courses at Indiana University.

She enjoyed learning and helped many students do the same. 

Theresa attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Cassopolis, Michigan for many years. She enjoyed serving by leading Rosary, assisting with some of the gardens, and donating reading material.

Theresa enjoyed reading, genealogy, time with family and friends, and gardening. She also enjoyed taking care of her Victorian house in Cassopolis, Michigan.

Theresa was a wonderful mother and friend. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
