Thomas Farias, 73, Fall River, died Sunday at Somerset Ridge, Somerset, Massachusetts. Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph and Adeline (Dutra) Farias, and formerly, husband of Nancy (Olieseira) Farias.
When he was younger, he worked with his father as a contractor becoming a draftsman for many years at Congdon Corp. He designed and built their family home with his beloved son Brian. Tom had a passion for music and became the pioneer of Karaoke in Fall River, Ma. and started his own business, Hotstreet Music, back in the 1990's. He loved to socialize and bring people together, for a great night of music and singing. He also worked for various marketing and management companies, then worked for Toyota as a transporter leading to his retirement. Tom loved talking with family and friends and reminiscing about good times. He made friends every where he went. As he struggled with his illness, he decided to do what he loved most "music" and started his own YouTube channel to provide music and karaoke to the public worldwide. Through it all, he still made sure his friends and family were doing well themselves, while he was fighting a good fight, until God called him home.
Thomas is survived by sisters Eileen Rubadou and Joan Ayash both of California, Mary Anne Cloutier of New York and brother Joseph Farias of Fall River, Mass. He will be deeply missed by his family the late Brian Farias, Tammy (Farias) Mazzarella and her husband Derek, grandchildren Cheyanne and Madison Mazzarella, companion Darleen Cabral and many nieces and nephews coast to coast.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
