Robert J. Cusick (Bob) 74, of Warwick, RI passed away on 12/18/2014, at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Arline (Kushel) Cusick. Arline and Bob first met at Hope High School in 1958 and were together ever since, a marriage of 53 years. Born in Providence, son of the late James & Alyce (Valois) Cusick. He was the brother of the late Donald Cusick.
Bob worked for many years as a jewelry salesman at Zale’s, and then as a jewelry die cutter at Josten’s until his retirement in 1988 due to health issues. As a young man, Bob served in the RI National Guard.
He was an avid reader, music lover, and devoted Patriot’s fan. He was a quiet and gentle man who loved working in the yard & feeding the birds. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grand-child. He looked forward to his summers in Hyannis and Vero Beach, Florida. And just being with the “love of his life”, his most devoted and loving wife Arline. Despite years of health problems, together they always managed to enjoy family, travel, the casinos, the beach, summer festivals & concerts, and house projects.
He is survived by his wife Arline, and his two devoted children, son Philip K. Cusick, of San Francisco and daughter Kerri (Cusick) Connor. He also leaves his cherished 5 grandchildren; Megan, Ami, Haley, Sophi, Oliver and great grand-daughter Ali Mae.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, his funeral will be private.
In lieu of flowers, do something nice or bring flowers to a loved one or friend.
There will be a gathering at the home of Kerri Connor and Tom Strojny on Tuesday December 23 from 5-8. 35 Ethel St. West Warwick, RI 02893.
